The 55th Dutch Mathematical Congress (NMC) will be held at the Koningshof in Veldhoven, on April 23—24, 2019.
The NMC 2019 will continue the pilot scheme introduced in 2018, inspired by the “Deltaplan Wiskunde”. It will be a two-day congress, including a conference dinner and an overnight stay. This NMC new-style is being made possible thanks to generous financial support from NWO, obtained via PWN.
The plenary lectures will be delivered by
- Barbara Gentz (random dynamic and stochastic processes)
- Jan Hesthaven (scientific computing)
- Gábor Lugosi (statistics, information theory)
- Anke van Zuylen (combinatorial optimisation)
There will be many mini-symposia, the annual afternoon session for high-school teachers (“Docentendag”) and poster sessions.
